Change is needed to address the County’s inequitable distribution of tax revenue. Southern Wake deserves a fair return from the property tax revenue we generate.
Wake County has raised property taxes for four consecutive years. We need to capitalize on tax base growth, eliminate wasteful spending and focus on improving the essential functions of government.
Local transportation issues, need local solutions. Wake County needs to develop innovative plans and funding solutions for improving our road network, and doing so without property tax increases.
Public safety is not an expense, it’s a vital investment and the foundation for a strong, prosperous and high-quality community.
Investments in education need to focus on the learning space by prioritizing teacher pay, safe and quality facilities and resources to support the physical and mental health of students. Wake County needs to demand greater accountability of the use of education funding.
